Tony Scott’s film Top Gun gave us a very macho Tom Cruise flying jets, impressing the girl, and of course playing volleyball. 35 years later we can see the influence of the movie. The highest grossing movie of the year inspired more movies to be created in this genre, gave us tons of quotable lines, and even began the home video industry. Why do we enjoy it?
